Road Runners Club of America ( RRCA )

The Road Runners Club of America is the national association of not-for-profit running clubs dedicated to promoting long distance running as a competitive sport and as healthful exercise. The RRCA's mission is to represent and promote the common interest of its member clubs and individual runners through education, leadership, programs and other services. It is a national organization of over 675 Chapter Clubs located in 48 states and Guam, and representing over 190,000 members. The RRCA is the largest grass roots running organization in America and its quarterly publication, FootNotes, is the second largest running publication in circulation. It is a rapidly growing but mature organization having been founded in 1958. The RRCA was formed by runners to promote their own races and to fight for their rights to do so. Athlete's Rights was a fundamental purpose behind the founding of the organization.
